It was freezing cold outside, already dark, and my fingers were numb. I had forgotten to put on wool socks and my toes were slippery in the leather shoes. I was walking as fast as I could looking, up to the sky. A habit of mine.
I spotted the moon, clear, a sliver only, shining like it was not reflecting, but producing the light. I haven’t seen the moon like that for so long. The sky was cloudless, and suddenly, my breath felt fresh. And I, I felt like in that moment, I could have done anything.
A quick happy moment, that was.
